Step into the newsroom with First Editions: Producing a Local Paper—where every student gets to choose what they write about and bring their stories to life on the printed page. In this hands-on class, you'll select your topics—whether it's what's happening in your school, community, or beyond—and learn how to interview, research, write clear and factual articles, and craft attention-grabbing headlines. Throughout the course, you'll draft, edit, lay out, and finally publish your own mini-newspaper, complete with bylines and your voice in every article.
By the end, you’ll hold a real copy of the paper you helped create—your ideas, your work, showcased for others to read, talk about, and remember.
